eBay fees for trading cards

Sports trading cards, non-sport trading cards, collectible card games such as Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering, and comics share one rate on eBay US:

On a $100.00 card a Basic Store saves $0.90 in fees ($13.10 instead of $14.00).

Why cheap cards barely pay

On a $1.00 card the $0.30 per order fee alone is 30% of the sale. Add a stamp and a toploader and a dollar card loses money. Sell low value cards as lots, or combine them into one order with combined shipping so the per order fee is paid once.

Count your grading and supplies

Put the card's cost in the costs box, including what you paid to have it graded, and add your shipping supplies to the label cost. The profit figure then shows what the flip actually made.

eBay ran a 50% final value fee discount on card singles over $1,000 from March 3 to May 4, 2025. It has ended, so this calculator charges the normal rate.

eBay card fee questions
