Listing fee

Every listing costs $0.20 to publish and lasts four months. It renews automatically for another $0.20 unless you set it to manual renewal. On a listing with more than one in stock, each extra unit that sells triggers another $0.20 renewal. Private listings are only charged when they sell, and editing a listing is free.

Transaction fee

6.5% of the item price plus what the buyer pays for shipping, gift wrap and personalization. US sellers do not pay it on sales tax. For sellers outside the US, it applies to prices that include VAT.

Payment processing by country

Processing is charged on the whole order, including tax and shipping. The rate depends on where your bank account is:

Offsite Ads

When a buyer clicks one of Etsy’s ads on another site and buys within 30 days, you pay an extra fee on that order: 15% if your shop made under $10,000 in the last 365 days, or 12% once it passes $10,000. It is charged on the item price, shipping and gift wrap, and capped at $100 per order. Shops under $10,000 can opt out. Once a shop reaches $10,000, the 12% rate stays for good and Offsite Ads become mandatory.

Sellers in some countries pay an extra percentage of the item price, shipping and gift wrap to cover local digital services taxes:
