The minimum and the cap
Because of the $0.25 minimum, small transfers cost more than 1.75%: moving $10.00 costs $0.25. The fee only reaches 1.75% at about $14.29. At the top end, the fee stops growing at $25, which happens at about $1,428.57. Moving $2,000.00 still costs $25.00. If you cash out often, a few bigger transfers cost less than many small ones.
Money from a sale
If the money came from a sale, PayPal took its payment fee first. Pick the payment type in the calculator, for example goods and services at 2.99%, and the instant transfer fee is worked out on what is left.
Business accounts
Business accounts pay a slightly lower 1.50% with a $0.50 minimum. PayPal's merchant fee page lists no maximum for business accounts, so large instant transfers cost more than on a personal account.
